Alright well this is necessary for all ChainTab weaves chains and mail. It’s simple enough, but it felt odd repeating it each time in every tutorial.
1. First step is to remove the “chad” it’s that little u-shape that remains on some tabs.
2. Removing it is easy (you could use pliers), but since you need cutters anyway simply snip it off.
3. Finally this where you want to cut the tab. Cutting it anywhere else makes the tab weak and more than a single cut makes the tab useless.
4. To demonstrate here’s where in the middle you want to cut. Now obviously cutting thousands of these you won’t be perfect. In essence the tab on the left is ideal, the middle is acceptable, but barely, and finally the one on the right is useless.
